Appointments at the outer edge of the area, like Anson or Stanly County, may be grouped on certain days rather than offered same-day.

Often, yes. Same-day appointments are available when the schedule allows, and calling early in the day gives us the best chance of fitting you in. If today is full, we will offer the next opening and tell you honestly when to expect the technician.

The technician diagnoses the appliance first, explains what failed and why, and gives you the price for the repair. Nothing is replaced until you say yes. If a part has to be ordered, you will hear that up front along with what happens next.

Not necessarily. Most household refrigerators and freezers are designed for indoor temperatures, and a Charlotte garage in July can run well past that range. The unit may run constantly, fail to hold temperature, or frost up. Clean the condenser coils and keep space around the unit, and if it still cannot keep up, we can check whether a component has failed or whether the location is the real problem.

It depends on the age of the unit, what failed, and what a comparable new model costs. A worn belt, pump or igniter on a solid machine is usually worth fixing. A major failure on an older, low-cost appliance may not be, and we will say so plainly instead of selling you a repair that does not make sense.

Check that coverage first. If we find the unit is still under its manufacturer warranty, we will point that out, because going through the manufacturer may cost you less. We are glad to help once that coverage has ended or if it does not apply to the problem.

They can. Summer thunderstorms and winter ice storms knock out power across the region, and the surge when service returns can damage electronic control boards. If an appliance acts strangely after an outage, unplug it or switch off its breaker for a minute, then restore power. If the display is dead or the error comes back, schedule a visit.

Repairs come with a 90-day parts and 30-day labor warranty. If the part we installed fails within that window, or the same repair needs redoing within the labor period, contact us and we will come back to make it right.
